Hey everyone! Here we are once again looking at some of the books that I'm eagerly anticipating this week

Some of the great looking books that didn't quite make the Top 5 (+1), but I'm still REALLY looking forward to tomorrow include: Forever Evil Aftermath: Batman vs Bane, Batman Eternal #4, all 4 Avengers titles (yes, 4 released on the same day), Silver Surfer #2, and Shadowman: End Times #1.  

WOW, those're some GREAT looking books, but here's what I'm REALLY looking forward to!

Wildcard: Southern Bastards #1

With the amount of hype this book's been receiving, both from media and my twitter-family, how could this book NOT be on the list? Jason Aaron and Jason Latour look like they'll have a hit on their hands (thanks for the head's up, Chris!)

5: Star Wars: Rebel Heist #1

C'mon! First of all, it's classic Star Wars, with Han Solo in the lead role. Second of all, it's FREAKIN' MATT KINDT!!!  Absolute no-brainer pull for me tomorrow!

4: Deadly Class #4

Thanks to my buddy Ben, this book is at or near the top of the stack every month!  Great story & characters, amazing art...probably Image's best book! Yeah, I said it, waddaya gonna do? ;)

3: The Flash Annual #3

The triumphant, official New 52 revival of Wally West! Yes, I know it's not "my" Wally, but I'll take what I can get!  Besides, it's from the new creative team of Venditti, Jensen, and Booth, with some Ron Frenz, too.  SIgn me up!

2: Rai #1

Did I mention earlier...FREAKIN' MATT KINDT!!! Love the new Valiant stuff, love Kindt's work, and Crain's art is stunning!  Can't wait to get my hands on this one!

1: Amazing Spider-Man #1

Really, people? You didn't see this coming by now?  Of COURSE Spidey would be at the top of the list!  Peter's official return to a monthly title, though I must say I'll miss the Superior Spider-Man, which was one of the BEST Spidey tales in recent memory, IMO!  Hopefully Slott continues that greatness with the original Spidey.

Ok gang, you see what I'm getting, but what are you picking up tomorrow?

Most Anticipated #NCBD Releases 4/23/14

Welcome back to my weekly sneak-peek of some of the books I'm most looking forward to getting this week.

As usual, there are SO MANY books coming out that warrant a mention besides my Top 5 (+1).  Some of the other GREAT releases this week include Batman Eternal, Original Sin, Dead Body Road, Guardians of the Galaxy, Uncanny Avengers...I'm serious, there are a TON of great books this week!

Anyway, let's get to the good stuff!  The cream of the crop! The creme dela creme!  Okay, enough build up, here we go :)

Wildcard: Elektra #1

My Wildcard pick this week goes to Elektra #1.  The beautiful Mike Del Mundo art alone is reason enough for me to give this book a try!

5: Five Ghosts #11

Barbiere and Mooneyham are a great team, and ever since I was "convinced" by some friends on twitter to give it a try, I've LOVED this series! Huh, how appropriate: #5 is Five Ghosts #11: Lost Coastlines Part 5.  Lots of fives there ;)

4: Daredevil #2

I'm still mad at myself for not jumping on the Waid/Samnee Daredevil bandwagon sooner, but, hey, I'm here now!  DD's last series was phenomenal, and this run started off brilliantly as well!

3: Justice League United #0

It's Jeff Lemire and Mike McKone on the Justice League, what more reason do you need?  It's gonna have an awesome story and beautiful art, plus: Animal Man, Adam Strange, Green Arrow...c'mon! Oh, and they're in Canada now :)

2: Ghosted #9

Once Chris put that TPB in my hand, Ghosted shot up to the top of the read pile (thanks again, Chris!).  Williamson's writing on this title is superb, and Gianfelice's art on this arc is fantastic!  When I said creme dela creme, THIS is what I'm talking about!

1: The Flash #30

Ok, I'm a DC Fanboy. It's not a secret, I'm actually proud of it.  When the original Flash creative team moved over to Detective Comics, I was pleased to hear that Venditti, Jensen, and Booth would be taking over The Flash!  Venditti and Jensen are ROCKING on the GL books, and Booth was born to draw the Scarlet Speedster! Can't wait to get my hands on this one!
